Stuck In Self Sabotage

I have identified my patterns of self sabotage and that is as far as I ever get. I am stuck ! Where is that “small opening of light” that you refer to?

I believe that identifying any pattern of thought/behavior about oneself is always a good thing, and I also believe that it can become the very reason why we remain stuck where we are. When we choose to evaluate and re-evaluate our “patterns of self sabotage” this becomes our mantra of sorts and we have in a sense trapped ourselves. Patterns of  “self sabotage” occur when we momentarily become disconnected from ourselves, creating a gap between who we are and where we are. When we can identify a pattern of thought, in your case “self sabotage” with the clear understanding that it is simply a result of a momentary disconnect within and what I loving refer to as contrast (something different than what we are actually wanting for ourselves} we now have created a small opening to move forward. We can begin to create with our thoughts first, that which we are wanting for ourselves. We have the contrast (self sabotage} and now a new sense of clarity that we can create something different for ourselves if we so choose. I would like to suggest a new mantra for you: as I come to understand these patterns of “self sabotage” to be moments of disconnection with myself, I can now with my renewed sense of loving curiosity begin to explore the best ways for me to begin to close the gap and hook myself up with my inner-being.
