Wished for and most welcome

“The Truth” Is Not Necessarily Your Truth

My father is a devout (many would say obsessed) Christian, and has disowned and excommunicated me because I do not share his spiritual perspective.  He is sick and dying, and I wonder if it is OK to lie to him about my belief in the Judeo-Christian God, just so that we can have a relationship before he passes away.

Very religious people like your father have practiced their beliefs for a lifetime and tend to feel that their own religious views are the only views to be upheld and lived by. Quite clearly you have a strong spiritual connection to yourself and your source that you are choosing to tap into and be guided by in order to make this very enlightened and loving choice to set truth- not your truth but truth aside in this moment so that you may recreate a loving connected relationship with your father. You are a true blessing.

What a loving and wonderful gift you will give (to yourself) and your father.

Why not just lie? The whole Judeo-Christian spin became a lie as soon as “man” got their hands on it. Lie like a priest!
