Being In Our Joy

Yesterday I reached out and with all my heart, I asked the Universe to let me hear from a friend that I hadn’t heard from.  I literally put my head in my hands, my head down at my desk at work, and closed my eyes and felt so deeply how great it would be to hear from this individual whom I care about very much. Within 10 seconds I received a Facebook message and we chatted briefly. It was light,and easy, and fun.   Later that day, I received a call from him and we had a great telephone chat.  Later that night, I was singing and practicing some music and again, another call from him!    I realized that each of the times he called, I was pre-occupied doing something I enjoyed and was feeling great. So…..is this the “pathway” or “opening” from which we will always receive that which we ask for….not thinking about the “thing” we want, but being in our joy?
